U.S. Marines with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, fire an M224 mortar during the Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen’s (CORTRAMID) “Marine Week” at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, June 10, 2019. During Marine Week, the midshipmen receive Marine Corps Orientation familiarizing themselves with the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP), weapons, and the O-Course. CORTAMID is a program that pulls second and third class scholarship midshipmen from various Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) programs to receive surface, submarine, aviation and Marine Corps orientation.
