Colombian Navy Capt. Samuel Rivera, a partner nation instructor at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, Logistics and Peacekeeping Operation Division, explains the situation in the simulated country of Kamaria, part of the of peacekeeping operations training to the members on the Conference of Central American Armed Forces (CFAC) battalion March 19. This Battalion staff training and seminar is an opportunity for CFAC partners (Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua) to build partnerships, encourage communications and planning, and familiarize themselves with United Nations peacekeeping operations and procedures prior to the start of the Peacekeeping Operations-Americas 2012 to be held in Santiago, Chile, in May 2012.
