190609-N-WU565-109 – CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti - A Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) attached to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24), shuts-down gas turbines engines and deflates air cushion upon landing at Red Beach on base, June 9, 2019. The landing exercise is a requirement to certify the beach, demonstrate capabilities and readiness. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
