Spur candidates walk a lap around Forward Operating Base Lightning pulling tires and carrying equipment and sandbags on a litter. The tire-pull event required candidates to pull a tire one lap around the FOB, while the equipment-carry event required teams to complete two laps around the FOB. Operations Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division held a spur ride March 18.
