Librizzi is acting as a platoon commander for Company A with Marines from Combat Logistics Regiments 35 and 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, here to conduct exercise Forest Light 12-2, a bilateral combined command post and field training exercise between elements of 3rd MLG and the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force. The purpose of Forest Light 12-2 is to enhance the interoperability of Marines and JGSDF members while increasing individual and unit readiness in a cold weather environment.
