Marines and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members practice the correct way to apply flexi-cuffs to a simulated enemy prisoner of war during a practical application here March 2 during exercise Forest Light 12-2. The purpose of Forest Light 12-2 is to enhance the interoperability of Marines and JGSDF members while increasing individual and unit readiness in a cold weather environment. The Marines are part of 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
