Capt. Kimberly A. Julka instructs a Japan Ground Self-Defense Force service member the correct way to apply flexi-cuffs to a simulated enemy prisoner of war during a practical application March 2. The training was part of exercise Forest Light 12-2 which was intended to enhance the interoperability of Marines and JGSDF members while increasing individual and unit readiness in a cold weather environment. Julka is part of 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
