A Marine with Combat Logistics Battalion 5, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, picks up a voice chip to record his message during the Message from the Heart program aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 20. A Message from the Heart is a program created by the Lance Cpl. Jonathan W. Collins Foundation, a non-profit organization, in the attempt to provide children of deploying Marines and sailors the opportunity to create their own comfort bears with voice chips, which were prerecorded with messages from the deploying parents, along with any messages service members wanted to share with their families.
