JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 9, 2018)- The amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) returns to homeport at Naval Station Mayport, August 9. Over 4,500 Sailors and Marines serving in the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group returned from a six-month deployment to Europe, Africa and the Middle East conducting maritime security operations.
