Mallory Reynolds, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, park ranger at John Redmond Reservoir, near Burlington, Kansas, marks a location on the downstream side of the dam’s embankment June 6. Reynolds is a part of a team that is monitoring the dam to ensure it continues to perform as designed. The Tulsa District is managing reservoirs across the region to reduce flood risks following historic rains in May in Kansas and Oklahoma.
