Seabee instructors assigned to the 20th Seabee Readiness Group inspect Equipment Operator 3rd Class Valerie Tatum for the proper wear of her mission oriented protective posture suit and gas mask during a tear gas attack. Tatum is assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, which is conducting a field training exercise at Camp Shelby, Miss., to test their skills in a tactical environment. NMCB-74 is an expeditionary element of U.S. naval forces providing construction, engineering and security services in support of national strategy, naval power projection, humanitarian assistance and contingency operations.
