An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon flies over the installation’s impact area May 15, 2019, during a close-air support training operation at Fort McCoy, Wis. The action was part of the annual Northern Lightning exercise that takes place at Wisconsin’s Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center. During the course of the exercise from early to mid-May, several Fort McCoy training and range areas were utilized for live-fire training by A-10 and F-16 aircraft.
