JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 3, 2019) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Brandy Sandoval measures a child’s height at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Pediatrics Clinic. Sandoval, a native of Rancho Cucamonga, California, says, “I love being a hospital corpsman. Being able to wake up and make a difference in our patients’ lives gives me a strong sense of pride and continues to push me to do better each day.” The Navy Hospital Corps celebrates 121 years of service on June 17. Hospital Corpsmen take a pledge to faithfully perform all of their duties, to hold the care of the sick and injured to be a privilege and a sacred trust, and assist the medical officer with loyalty and honesty.
