SATTAHIP NAVAL BASE, Thailand (June 6, 2019) Sailors assigned to the Royal Thai Navy Diver and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Center respond to a simulated suspicious boat during a waterborne improvised explosive device knowledge exchange with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5 as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2019. This year marks the 25th iteration of CARAT, a multinational exercise series designed to enhance U.S. and partner navies' abilities to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
