Vigilant Guard involved a 7.7 magnitude earthquake scenario where members of the Missouri Air and Army National Guard, along with civilian counterparts responded. The purpose of the exercise is to evaluate and improve emergency coordination, response, and recovery management with federal, regional, state, local, and military partners.
