A U.S. Air Force Special Reconnaissance non-commissioned officer, assigned to the 321st Special Tactics Squadron, of the 352nd Special Operations Wing, based out of RAF Mildenhall, acts as a drop zone controller, June 6, 2019, in Carentan, Normandy, during a commemorative airborne operation. More than 1,300 U.S. service members from units in Europe and the United States will participate in more than 80 events and ceremonies at the request of the French community and civic organizations June 1-9, in the Normandy region of France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
