Retired Marine Lt. General Lawrence Snowden, center, bows to Japanese World War II veterans and guests during the Reunion of Honor ceremony March 14. Members of the USS Germantown, an amphibious dock landing ship, and elements of the III Marine Expeditionary Force participated in the ceremony commemorating the 67th anniversary of the battle of Iwo Jima. Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. Carol McKenzie, is currently on patrol in the Western Pacific.
