NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (June 4, 2019) Electrician's Mate (Nuclear) 1st Class Samuel Gaff, from Las Vegas, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) reactor department, receives his frocking letter from Cmdr. Emily Bassett, Ford's reactor officer, during a frocking ceremony at the Victory Arch. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
