SANTA RITA, Guam (June 4, 2019) - Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Randall W. Ramaswamy raises the Union Jack on the jack staff aboard the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), June 4. Today is the first day the Union Jack has been flown aboard U.S. Navy ships since the implementation of the First Navy Jack, over 16 years ago, on Sept. 11, 2002. Frank Cable, forward-deployed to the island of Guam, repairs, rearms and reprovisions submarines and surface vessels in the Indo-Pacific region.
