U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Sean M. Salene and Japan Air Self-Defense Force Maj. Gen. Seiki Kageura speak together during a JASDF visit to Marine Aircraft Group 36, June 3, 2019 at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. Key leaders from 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and the JASDF met to discuss readiness, aviation assault support, tactics, safety, maintenance and more. This meeting was a step toward continuous integration and cooperation of bilateral forces, further strengthening the longstanding U.S.-Japanese alliance.
