JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO - FORT SAM HOUSTON - (May 31, 2019) Chief Navy Counselor Jesse Eldridge of Naugatuck, Conn., a division leading chief petty officer assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio, was promoted to the rank of senior chief petty officer in America’s Navy by Cmdr. Jeffrey Reynolds, NRD commanding officer during a promotion ceremony held at NRD headquarters. Eldridge, a 1994 graduate of Emmett O’Brien Regional Vocational Technical School, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999 becoming a recruiter in 2013. NRD San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 30 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
