    Tourists read memorial plaques that document the events that occurred during the D-Day invasion at La Pointe du Hoc, near Saint-Pierre-Du-Mont, France, May 31. More than 1,200 U.S. Service Members and 950 military personnel from Europe and Canada are commemorating the 75th anniversary of WWII Operation Overlord, the Allied Invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6th, 1944, also known as D-Day.
