The ground vantage of La Pointe du Hoc, near Saint-Pierre-Du-Mont, France, is the location assaulted by U.S. Army Rangers during the D-Day Allied Invasion, May 31. More than 1,200 U.S. Service Members and 950 military personnel from Europe and Canada are commemorating the 75th anniversary of WWII Operation Overlord, the Allied Invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6th, 1944, also known as D-Day.
