Banners memorializing the sacrifice made by U.S. Army Rangers hang from light posts lining the main street in Saint-Pierre-Du-Mont, France, near La Pointe du Hoc, May 31. More than 1,200 U.S. Service Members and 950 military personnel from Europe and Canada are commemorating the 75th anniversary of WWII Operation Overlord, the Allied Invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6th, 1944, also known as D-Day.
