Evacuees are loaded onto CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters by Marines of Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, during a mock noncombatant evacuation operation, March 11. The NEO was conducted during the MEU’s Certification Exercise in preparation for the upcoming deployment to the Asia-Pacific region. The 31st MEU is the only continuously forward-deployed MEU and remains the nation’s force in readiness in the Asia-Pacific region.
