U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District briefed commissioners of the International Joint Commission, and members of the International Lake Ontario - St. Lawrence River Board on current Lake Ontario conditions before joining them on a tour of the effected shoreline areas in Greece, NY, May 28, 2019.
Lake Ontario water levels have been increasing since November 2018, due to above average precipitation, and will likely pass record levels set back in 2017. The Corps of Engineers continues coordination with local and state emergency management offices to ensure as many resources available when requested.
