The Make a Wish Foundation fulfilled Gaige's wish of being a U.S. Marine for a day by spending it with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (1st LAR Bn.), I Marine Expeditionary Force. 1st LAR Bn. hosted a grappling competition, had Gaige shoot various weapon systems at an ISMT, and finally, took him for a ride in a LAV-25.
