The Dredge Goetz crew on standby below Lock and Dam 20, near Canton, Missouri, on May 12, awaiting lockages north to return to the St. Paul District. Her crew spent the winter months dredging in the Rock Island and St. Louis Districts, but returned home to support dredging operations from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Guttenberg, Iowa, after high water continues moving sediment into the navigation channel. As of May 24, the St. Paul District employed five dredging operations to maintain the navigation channel and enable tows making the Port of St. Paul once water levels decrease and locks re-open further downstream.
