SATTAHIP, Thailand (May 25, 2019) – Royal Australian Navy Capt. Brendon Zilko, Pacific Partnership 2019 chief of staff, U.S. Navy Capt. Randy Van Rossum, PP19 mission commander, and Rear Adm. Joey Tynch, commander of Task Force 73, bow their heads during the invocation at the PP19 closing ceremony for Thailand. Thailand is the final mission stop for PP19. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
