Soldiers assigned to 1st Armored Division aim Beretta m9 semi-automatic pistols, modified for training purposes, at simulated targets at the electronic skills trainer 2000 (EST 2000) during the weapons proficiency portion of division’s 2019 Best Warrior Competition on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 14. The weapons proficiency portion of the competition tests Soldiers from across America's Tank Division on their abilities to accurately fire and qualify with an M4 carbine, a Beretta M9 semi-automatic pistol, and an M240B machine gun as part of a comprehensive four-day competition to distinguish 1AD’s top junior enlisted Soldier and top Noncommissioned Officer of the year.
