James Cooper, an undersea medical officer at Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay, checks Electronics Technician (Submarine Navigation) 1st Class Samuel Casia’s ear. Casia is assigned to USS Alaska (SSBN 732). Cooper, a native of San Diego, California, says, “As a UMO, it’s my responsibility to provide care for submariners, divers, and special operators.
