Army Lt. Col. John Monroe, chief of information technology projects for the 335th Signal Command (Tactical)(Provisional) and a member of team the 335th Best Cyber Warrior Team, reassembles an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) during the warrior task portion of the U.S. Army Central Best Cyber Warrior Competition 2019 held on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, May 14, 2019. During the three-day event, which ran May 14 to 16, the teams engaged in a variety of events designed to challenge the competitors mentally and physically while promoting interoperability and esprit de corps. The Best Cyber Warrior Challenge is designed to create a culture of awareness and understanding at all echelons of cybersecurity, while in a fun and competitive environment, in order to reduce risk and protect the Army, Department of Defense and personal networks.
