Airman at the 178th Wing were given Nalaxone (Narcan) through Project DAWN to use in case they encounter someone experiencing an opioid overdose May 6, 2019 at Springfield Air National Guard Base, Ohio. Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Nalaxone) is a program that educates personnel on the opioid epidemic and teaches them how to administer Naloxone in an effort to help reduce opioid overdoses in Ohio.
