Vandiford, the director of maintenance with Emerald Isle Realty based out of Emerald Isle, N.C., tries on a helmet that belongs to one of Explosive Ordinance Disposal's bomb diffusing suits, during a tour of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Feb. 29. Vandiford is a member of the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce Executive Leadership Program. The group came aboard the air station to gain insight into what Cherry Point Marines and sailors do.
