A platoon of soldiers from Thailand march in formation during a practice session in preparation for opening day ceremonies for Exercise Shanti Doot 3, in Bangladesh, March 7, 2012. The ceremony, to be attended by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the United States Ambassador to Bangladesh, marks the start of the multi-national peace-keeping exercise. The exercise, which included both academics and field work, took place at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Rajendrapur Contonment, was a Bangladesh armed forces hosted and U.S. Pacific Command Global Peace Initiative supported multi-national exercise designed to give operations, logistics, planning and tactical peace-keeping training to members of 13 different countries in preparation for United Nations Peace-keeping Operations.
