ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 17, 2019)- Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Niko Mekantsishvili removes and replaces a hydraulic pump on an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 48 “Vipers” on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), May 17, 2019. Roosevelt is operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of exercise Formidable Shield 19. Formidable Shield is designed to improve allied interoperability in a live-fire, integrated air and missile defense environment using NATO command and control reporting structures.
