A temporary litter configuration is organized inside the cargo bay of the KC-46A Pegasus Fuselage Trainer at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, May 17, 2019. A KC-46 has six permanent litter stations near the rear of the aircraft, which can support humanitarian and medical missions at a moment’s notice. The additional stations amplify the aeromedical evacuation capabilities allowing medical teams to support a greater number of patients needing critical care. (U. S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt.
