The rehearsal was executed on the first day of exercise Joint Stars 2019, a bilateral exercise between SPMAGTF-CR-AF 19.2 and the Italian Armed Forces The goal of the exercise is to put the U.S. Marines and Italian forces through complex scenarios in order to increase combined capabilities and bilateral interoperability. SPMAGTF-CR-AF 19.2 is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
