Wesley Leon-Barrientos prepares to attach a prosthetic leg inside the Base Exchange March 1, 2012, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Barrientos lost both of his legs while serving in Iraq as a U.S. Army infantryman. Leon-Barrientos and Staat embarked on this endeavor to raise awareness about veteran issues and build unity among American veterans.
