South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley spoke at the Hiring Our Heroes job fair held at Fort Jackson's Solomon Center on March 6. Both pre-registered soldiers and veterans and walk-ins numbering a total of 1,176 job seekers attended the event which was planned and conducted by the cooperative efforts of the U.S. and local Chambers of Commerce, the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and the Fort Jackson command team. Haley's husband is in the South Carolina Army National Guard, and her brother is an active duty Army officer.
