Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyrone Reilly, an aviation electrician's mate of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 43, Detachment 2, embarked aboard USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), washes the propeller of the detachment's SH-60B Seahawk helicopter. Chung-Hoon has been conducting maritime security operations (MSO) as part of Combined Task Force 158 in the North Persian Gulf for more than a month. Maritime security operations help set the conditions for security and stability in the Gulf and protect Iraq's sea-based infrastructure, which provides the Iraqi people the opportunity for self-determination.
