Sailors of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 43, Detachment 2, embarked aboard USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) in the Persian Gulf, wash the detachment's SH-60B Seahawk helicopter on Aug. 9. Chung-Hoon has been conducting Maritime Security Operations (MSO) as part of Combined Task Force 158 in the North Persian Gulf for more than a month. The MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the Gulf and protect Iraq's sea-based infrastructure, which provides the Iraqi people the opportunity for self-determination.
