A bucket of tree seedlings, sit in a bucket for planting, while volunteers from around the base, and local park and recreation members remove the area of honeysuckle at Trout Creek, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, April 24, 2019. Tree seedlings were planted after the removal of honeysuckle as part of Earth Day initiative to protect native species plants in the area. The bush honeysuckle species found in Ohio was first introduced in the mid to late 1800s from Europe and Asia as ornamentals, and grows in dense thickets, shading out desirable native woodland species.
