The Perry family is all smiles after their graduation from Team Training at the headquarters for Canine Companions for Independence in Santa Rosa, California, April 19, 2019. Drew Perry is a retired employee of the Sacramento District, where several other employees volunteer as puppy raisers for Canine Companions. The national nonprofit provides service dogs to people with disabilities completely free of charge. “Our Canine Companion will really help us to continue to be part of our community and will help us start a new chapter in our lives,” said Perry.
