Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael Selvey, an aviation boatswain's mate, makes sure an F/A-18E Super Hornet from the "Tophatters" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 14 is correctly attached to the catapult shuttle prior to launch from nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the Persian Gulf, June 18. Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 are deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet conducting maritime operations and supporting the global war on terrorism.
