Members of the 168th Security Forces Squadron, currently deployed to Al Udeid, Air Base, Qatar, participated in the 2019 Defender Games Challenge, a morale boosting competition, on April 20, 2019 at the Blatchford-Preston Complex gym. Senior Airman Aiyana Pangelinan, Senior Airman Xavior Navidad-Stepp, Airman 1st Class Colton Peet and Airman 1st Class Jennifer Dasta represented the 168th SFS defenders as the Griffins fire team against eight other teams. The challenge was made up of eight activities that challenged competitors physically and mentally: keep in memory game, 50 pull-ups, a ruck run around the parking lot, tire flips, farmer’s carry challenge, 15 team push-ups, Humvee push and pull, and M-4 disassemble and reassemble. Each category had specific rules that gave the teams the opportunity to rely on one another. The Griffins were one of the first groups to compete and did so in 93-degree temperatures.
