Recruits with Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, hold up a log at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 18. If one recruit failed to put the amount of effort needed, the rest of the group had to pick up the slack. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate May 10.
