Photo by Staff Sgt. David Chapman

    5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment

Sgt. 1st Class Jeremy LeBlanc, platoon sergeant 8th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, watches closely as a blind folded soldier picks through a box of parts to assemble an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon as a mental test during the squadron's spur ride at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Feb. 13. The 18-hour spur ride challenged and pushed soldiers to their limit by requiring them to complete both physically and mentally strenuous tasks.
