SAN DIEGO (April 18, 2019) – Aviation Ordnanceman Tara Fluevog, from Worcester, Mass., gets sprayed with oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray, also known as pepper spray, during naval security force sentry (NSFS) training. Sailors assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) are required to participate in NSFS training prior to earning weapons qualifications.
