Colin Ruth, a 1st year MECEP (Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Education Program) and student at Tennessee State University, explains the layout to the Mt. Juliet (Tennessee) High School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (MCJROTC) Armed Basic platoon commander, Capt. Scott Borden, 16, from Mt. Juliet, during a NJROTC/MCJROTC drill competition hosted by Vanderbilt’s NROTC unit in the university’s Recreation and Wellness Center on campus here, April 13. More than 250 cadets from six Navy and four Marine Corps JROTC units in Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas participated in the one-day event.
